While our computers are designed and manufactured with longevity in mind, hardware issues can occasionally arise. We want all of our computers to remain in working condition and to be useful long into the future.
Machdyne repair service
All of our computers come with a one year warranty. After that period, we offer a repair and cleaning service that works like this:
- You ship the board to our address (using your method of choice, at your expense)
- We receive, repair, clean and test the board
- We send you a link to pay for the repair (€50 per board) + return shipping (varies, but < €20)
- We return the board to you
In the event that repair isn’t possible within 60 days of receipt of the board, we will recycle the broken board and offer you store credit for the current price of the same or a similar available product.
Self-repair
Making self-repair possible is one of the reasons that we have open-sourced the schematics and PCB layouts for our computers. In the event that your computer stops working, attempting self-repair will not necessarily void the warranty or preclude you from using our repair service. However, please contact us for support before attempting any self-repair.
Alternative repair services
Due to our single location (Germany) and limited resources, it may be more convenient, faster and/or cheaper to have someone else repair your computer.
